Episode five of the series finishes off the Zansa/Kenshin story that began in the previous episode. Their battle is prodigious and a number of facts about Zansa's motivation are learned from his flashbacks during the fight. Ultimately Kenshin prevails as Zansa uses a sword that is large and powerful but slow enough for Kenshin to avoid. Later an old rival of Kenshin's a murderer named Jin-eh who challenges Kenshin to a fight and uses a number of underhanded tricks to ensure his victory. This second volume includes the television series' episodes 5-8.
