Based on Rumiko Takahashi's (RANMA 1/2) popular weekly comic strip URUSEI YATSURA was one of Japan's most popular television shows during its run from 1981-1986 which produced 195 episodes of the show. It follows the adventures of Ataru a young man who is charged with saving the Earth by competing with a beautiful alien named Lum in a game of tag. In episodes 5-8 Ataru runs away from home and finds comfort in the arms of a sorceress named Sakura. Later Ataru trying to avoid Lum devises a method to insulate himself from her shocks with disastrous consequences.
