Based on the popular computer/PlayStation game of the same name the ARC THE LAD anime focuses on Elk Arc's occasional ally. Elk's town had been attacked by a group of marauders early in his life and now hoping for revenge on the band of thieves that killed his family Elk searches for the crew of the Silver Noah the ship that carried the attackers. When he runs into Arc the current owner of the ship he mistakes him for an enemy but when he finds out the truth he tries to recruit Arc to help him exact his revenge.
