The women of CLAMP take on the male-dominated world of tournament anime with the female-centric ANGELIC LAYER. The series revolves around 12-year-old Misaki Suzuhara a small-town girl whose workaholic mother has sent her to live with her aunt in Tokyo. Once in the big city Misaki discovers the exciting world of Angelic Layer a robot game where customized dolls are pitted against each other in high-tech battles controlled by the thoughts of their human operators.
